How to Design your Bed Space like a Pro

Imagine that your crush visited you unannounced one night (whatever the reason), and you had to prepare your room for them. It wouldn’t matter much if you had a standard-sized mattress, the perfect wall painting or the scent of angels gracing your chamber. All that would matter is how well-laid your bed appears, because that’s where the mind takes the body to rest.
But, hey, this is your room, and you are your special guest. How do you arrange your bunk in what is usually a cluttered space, the last-minute action before most people hit the sack? Don’t wait for a special occasion to sleep better. Follow this proven guide to designing your bed space like a pro.
Step 1 – Begin with the Base Layers Let’s get things started with your skirts (layers are also called bed skirts) because your foundation must be solid. Bed skirts come in different styles and patterns, but pick a style that fits into your bedroom design.
The best way to position your bed skirt is by allowing it to hang up to three or four inches below the bed spring. It’s supposed to brush the floor’s surface and not bunch up or fall completely to the floor. This gives the bed a stylish appearance.

Step 2 – Bring in the Fitted Sheet Also known as bottom sheets, fitted sheets are not the easiest to fold for their elastic corners, but we need them to protect and cover the mattress while giving it a smooth and comfortable surface. Place the fitted sheet beneath the bedsheet to prevent it from coming off during sleep.

Step 3 – Add the flat covers This layer is also called the top sheet. It is a thin sheet often placed above the fitted bedding. Hide it under your duvet or blanket by folding the edge to the top of the bed, protecting the duvet from getting stained. This sheet is optional during summer because it but provides extra warmth during cold periods.

Step 4 – Place the Duvet or Blanket Now, you may crown the bedroom with the duvet. Better known as a comforter, the blanket comes right after the sheets. This layer, being the heaviest, provides the most warmth. It also makes it easier to change bedding looks and styles as it’s easily replaceable. Fluide’s luxury duvet cover options provide a perfectly finished look.
We follow the direction of creative comfort experts like Claire Ratliff, who summed this guide thus, “Whether we are selecting linens for a king, queen, full, or twin bed, we always start with a thin blanket, a bed cover like a piqué, and a duvet or comforter folded in thirds at the foot of the bed—we find this highlights the sheets and blanket and also keeps the bed looking neat and tidy.”

Step 5 – Pile on the Pillows To create an ultra-modern pillow appearance, we must arrange the pillows according to their types and functions. For a full-sized bed, we recommend two standard sleeping pillows and one to two accent pillows.
A trendy pillow arrangement should begin with two sleeping pillows leaning against the headboard with bed shams placed in front, while the accent or throw pillows come in front or on top of the bed shams.
