EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FLUIDÉ REST TO RISE CONVERSATION.

Rest to Rise Conversation is an expression of something we have always believed at Fluidé: the way we rest impacts the way we live.

Created as a platform for Fluidé to explore that belief beyond our products, Rest to Rise brings together different voices and perspectives on rest, wellness and intentional living.

I wanted Fluidé to have a space where we could talk about rest beyond
the products we create. A space to share what we believe, but also to
listen to how other people experience rest and what it means in their lives
and the work they do. That thinking became “Rest to Rise Conversation.”

— Miracle Onuoha, Founder, Fluidé Homes

Why This Conversation Matters

We live in a culture where being constantly busy is often celebrated. Packed schedules become a sign of ambition, exhaustion is mistaken for dedication, and rest becomes something we think we have to earn.

Rest to Rise Conversation challenges that idea.

At its heart is a simple belief: rest is an important part of living well. Through the platform, Fluidé brings different voices into that conversation, exploring what rest means to them, how they make room for it, and how it shapes the lives and work they are building.

What These Conversations Are Really About

Rest looks different for everyone. It can be sleep, stillness, solitude, faith, cooking, time away, or simply creating an environment that allows the body and mind to slow down.

Rest to Rise explores these different expressions of rest and the relationship between ambition and recovery, work and wellbeing, and showing up for others while still making room for yourself.

These are not conversations about perfect routines. They are honest conversations about how we can live and rest more intentionally.

Rest To Rise Conversations So Far

Episode One: Dabota Lawson

The first edition of Rest to Rise Conversation featured Dabota Lawson, Founder and CEO of Dabota Cosmetics, and one of Nigeria’s most compelling voices on intentional living.

Dabota spoke about how she protects her rest. She talked about what it means to centre herself, how she creates a physical environment that supports balance, and why she treats rest as a priority rather than a consolation prize for burnout.

For Dabota, rest is not passive. It is the space where she finds her centre, reconnects with her faith, and returns to herself.

Episode Two: Maryam Bukar Hassan, a.k.a. Alhanislam

The second edition featured Maryam Bukar Hassan, widely known as Alhanislam, a creative voice whose work sits at the intersection of culture, identity, and everyday Nigerian life.

When Maryam is stressed, she finds rest in cooking. Not as a chore. As a rest ritual. Something that demands just enough of her attention to quiet the noise, without depleting her.

Her episode explored the culture of rest among African youth, the relationship between her creative work and her need for recovery, and a piece of advice that stayed with us: “Rest as you go.”

What To Expect

Next, Rest to Rise Conversation introduces Founder’s Pause, conversations with founders who have put in the work of building, leading and creating, while also learning how to centre themselves and make room for rest.

We want to understand what happens behind the work: how they switch off, the boundaries they protect, how they have learned to make space for themselves, and what rest looks like at different stages of building.

And the conversation will continue to grow from there, bringing in more voices, experiences and perspectives.

Rest to Rise is not a wellness channel or a productivity hack. It is a platform through which Fluidé can express its point of view on intentional living while making room for other voices to shape the conversation alongside us.

There is no single way to rest. But the more honestly we talk about it, the better we can become at making room for it.
